Megafauna  comes from gree word "megas" wich means big and from latin "fauna" animal, term used in paleontology to refer to colosal animals that lived at the end of Tertiary and beginining of Quaternary of the Cenozoic Era, which became extinct by natural phenomena that took place in the epoch.

Especies de Fauna y Flora / Species of Flora and Fauna


The paleontological records in the region confirm the existence of various species of flora and fauna, among which are: invertebrates, fish ferns and Megafauna. These species include:
